Job Description: Chief Finance Officer, Habib Schools and Trusts
Be responsible for the following areas of Habib Education Trust, Habib Public School. Habib Girls’ School and the Construction projects.
Prepare Annual Plans and Budget through the Principals. Monitor approved Budgets and Plans through monthly and quarterly reports.
Maintain computerized books of accounts, with proper recording of transactions and periodic trial balance and financial statements. Get the annual statutory audits done without qualifications. Prepare a MIS.
Cash management. Including timely fees collection and cash flow requests to the Trustees. Payments to staff, suppliers, and creditors. Investment of school funds through HET, to balance returns with security.
Fixed assets management. Recording, movement control, replacement planning and depreciation calculation.
Help develop relevant and computerized academic administration system such as report cards for students, maintenance of the website and other related developments.
Coordinate preparation of Policy and Procedures manual for the Schools and Habib Education Trust, and keep it properly updated with all relevant stakeholders.
Company Secretary for the three Trusts, including minutes and follow-ups of all actions. Ensure that legal aspects of the Trusts are properly maintained and can under go external scrutiny. Properly record endowments, donations, and grants according to their legal requirements.
Skills, Traits, and Qualification.
MBA/ACMA/part qualified CA with at least 10 years of relevant experience in good organizations
Minimum age 40 years. Mature personality with very good inter-personal and negotiating skills.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office.
Experience in development of policy and procedures, and computerization experience will be significant advantage.
Good writing and speaking skills.
Reporting relationship:
Reporting to: CEO
Reciprocal dotted line reporting relationships with Principals, HET Advisor, Project Manager.
Supervising positions: Accountants and their staff.
